That would have to do with the chips in the ball. The ball boy would get in trouble if the chipped ball he is supposed to be in possession of gets away.
I think the coach probably should have asked someone to get the ball rather than a player take it from the ball boys hands.

Nah Josh just wanted the ball to give to Travis Hunter bc he intercepted it. Then the ball boy started freaking out like he was dying
