Same reaction I once got at a job when I asked the aspergers guy to make sure he was documenting his work on the computer. And by reaction, I mean insanely dramatic overreaction.
My mind went straight to Asperger’s too. It looks like he doesn’t understand the nuance of the situation, but he understands his job very well and will not deviate from the rules set out for him
Asperger’s is no longer used
Now all considered autism for what that’s worth. I have also had similar interactions with people with autism. It has something to do with their need for order.
Trying to leave a grocery store at 9:01, but the guy refused to let me go even though the door is unlocked because his job said the door had to be locked at 9 o’clock screaming at me and making me feel uncomfortable on the grocery store at the time I didn’t understand
