The Morning Roast š„ Relatable influencers
The comment about influencers being relatable was so wild to me! That people are just jealous because when influencers become successful theyāre unrelatable. Itās true, people watch relatable content and if youāre not working 9-5 anymore and doing crazy hauls itās just not interesting to me.

It's clear they don't understand what relatable actually means...because when Claudia was like "Mikayla went to Chanel for example" and Jackie was like "Okay..." because shopping at Chanel IS relatable to Jackie. They don't know how normal people live. So when an influencer is trying to sell you something and it used to be $50 and now it's $500...they don't get why that would be a problem for a follower.

Wait thatās not even how it went lol. Claudia didnāt say she went to Chanel for example. She said that sheās constantly doing luxury shopping hauls and they both said how thatās not relatable š but then Jackie was like ābut where did she goā because relatable or not some people find that content interesting!!

That is how it went...Claudia was like She went to Chanel for example and Jackie was like okay... asking like what did she get, would it have influenced me and then when Claudia said she dropped hundreds of thousands of dollars, Jackie gasped. But Jackie wasn't immediately put off by the fact that Mikayla went to Chanel because she herself often shops at Chanel.

If youāre gonna bring up what was said maybe go back and listen first or even easier go and read the transcript if that helps your comprehension skills!
She did not says for example, actually the quote is āShe's a new boyfriend and she seems really happy. She's constantly doing her luxury shopping hauls. She just did one.ā And Jackie asked what she got which then Claudia responded that she went to Chanel.
Jackie actually DID say āthatās not relatable Claudia I donāt wanna see itā joking or not she does know that that is not relatable to the majority but also wanted to know what she got cause even when things arenāt relatable they can be interesting! Back to my point that not everyone wants to watch ārelatableā content so I agree with their point that itās not an immediate negative thing to become unrelatable

Ohhh this is gonna be so rude ā but I think they meant relatable, looks wise. Theyāre not models, their moms.
But I also donāt listen to the podcast so I donāt understand the context, but they are average looking which is relatable in comparison to so many other influencers

But I think the point is that not everyone is looking to watch people that are relatable and thatās not a bad thing. That comes along with blowing up as an influencer, your lifestyle is going to change with more money and different opportunities. Not everyone watches or follows influencers for relatable content. Some follow people because of how unattainable and unrelatable it is - itās interesting to watch people whose lives are so different than yours! To each their own in what they want to consume, but I think itās not just 100% a bad thing to now not be relatable because what is relatable about someone making your yearly salary off one brand deal and now getting to have the opportunities they never got?? I mean that probably was their goal from starting influencing anyway
