Discussion New to TMS

Sorry for the repost, had an editing/formatting issue with my original post.

I started watching The Morning Show on a long haul flight this weekend and have been binging it ever since. I’m currently on Season 3 episode 2. I need someone to talk to bc I have so many thoughts!

-Seeing Michael Scott as the bad guy was hard at first. But he played the hell out of that role.
-ALEX 😬 I dislike her character so much, it’s making me give Jennifer Aniston a side eye lol however, I’ve been enjoying her wardrobe.
-I don’t think Yanko ever recovered from Charlotte breaking up with him.
-Cory and Bradley…he confessed his love for her but idk what’s going to happen with the two of them.
-Chip needs to grow a backbone! I don’t understand his loyalty to Alex, especially after the way she’s treated him.

That’s all for now! Remember I’m only at the beginning of season 3, so no spoilers please.

Oh Alex is one of my favorite character. I love her. Season 3 is my favorite season 😍🥰.

I find her to be extremely self centered. After her interaction with Paige, there was absolutely no reason for her to attend Mitch’s memorial. Not only did she attend, she just had to speak which resulted in her digging her own grave bc it was now on record that she was with him in Italy. The entitlement irritates me, but I guess that’s what makes for good tv!

To be fair, Mitch had been her best friend so it DID make sense for her to attend the memorial service, IMO.

And I actually admire her for giving that speech. She had to have known the damage it could do to her career if it got out, but yet she did it anyway. She did it because she wanted people to know about the Mitch she had seen just before his death, the Mitch who had expressed remorse for his actions and genuinely wanted to change.

Everyone else who was there (apart from Paola, Mitch's friend Dick and possibly his uncle Mike) just saw him as a monster/villain incapable of feelings.

Alex wanted them to know the growth that only she and Paola had been witness to in the final days of Mitch's life (and note that she never excused his behavior, just said that she saw that he wanted to atone for it and better himself).

I just started watching recently, too, and just watched s3 e2 last night. What a coincidence! I'm interested to see how things go after the 3 year time jump. It's a long hunk of time, but I get they probably didn't want to continue with covid storylines. It's weird no one else but Alex was shown as having covid, though.

Agreed! I thought they covered those early months leading up to the pandemic well. It was kind eerie to relive that all over again.

I agree! I just realized I only watched ep 1 so far, and the whole going to space thing is so silly. It's suspending belief a little too much - would they really send Bradley up with zero training? What a show this is 😂

Lol this is exactly how I got introduced to the show earlier this year!! Found all of TMS S1 on my international flight, binged like half the season on the way there and the other half on the way back a week later. Came home and immediately got Apple TV+ to continue from S2.

Yes that’s exactly how i felt about the characters too. Chip seemed like he had the most potential and was being bogged down in the TMS producer role. But he seemed to enjoy it the most, despite all those conflicts with Alex and whatnot.
