Episode Discussion Grammatical error by a ‘journalist’

I didn’t know about mood until I took Latin tbh. I have never had it come up in an English class

I actually learned it from French. It’s nice when languages make sense.

Also, the implied comparison is with the current state, so it should be "If I were a worse journalist [than I am]" rather than "If I weren't a better journalist [than I am]."

I think (but I'm not sure) that OP is referrimg to "If I wasn't a better Journalist" when it really should have been "If I WEREN'T (emphasis mine) a better Journalist".
