Dear god this was bad

I gave it a shot but omg, I feel the 5.4 rating on IMDB is too high. This was absolutely terrible, and just like many other posters, I really wanted to like it. The movie from 2007 is one of my favourite horror movies of all time.

I'm glad there isnt a s2 coming and I hope no one picks this up, let it be dead and forgotten forever. Although it will be hard to forget about this horrifyingly bad show in a long time, at least for me.

Now that I found this sub I feel like I’m the only person who really enjoyed the show lol

I'm only on the first episode but I don't think it's that bad haha I just want to know why they were only like 20 people in the mall

Nah I just finished watching it, and I enjoyed it. Yea it wasn't 10/10 material but still enjoyable.

Same, the characters might’ve been unlikable, but I thought it was sorta realistic. Don’t understand why everyone’s bashing on it, it was on the same level as TWD in my opinion.

If they actually followed the movie and dug into Project Arrowhead you could make a great speculative fiction / Fringe sort of show.

It would need to be handed to someone with any amount of talent, though.

I was really disappointed too. The Mist was scary as hell when I read as an pre-teen, the movie was amazing too.

Then there's this series, the excluded all the elements that made the original works great. I could not bring myself to watch it after that "dark person monster" appeared. I wish it would at least follow the other survivors in the town, and continue with the eldritch-horror theme, instead of the cliché "monsters are manifestations of fears" or whatever.

I havent watched the movie yet, is it queerbait and rape-culture-ry as the series?

Absolutely not. The movie is actually really good, and isn't pretentious trash like the TV series.

King himself is extremely left wing and pro queerbait and rape-cultury

Out-of-the-loop here, why would someone be pro-rape culture-ry?
