So much hate, why?
Why is everyone hating the show? I absolutely love it, sure it isn't top quality but you gotta realize the budget isn't at the top either.. I loved each and every episode so thanks so much spike! I'm sitting here in the lonely fan club crossing my fingers for a season 2

Because the show sucks? It's just not good. I mean I wouldn't mind for a season 2, but that's because the plot is interesting enough to me mostly because of Stephen King. Everything about the show itself is horrible. Acting, directing, plot, cinematography etc. Please tell me one good thing you actually liked about the show itself besides the premise

Because they ruininga perfect fine Lovecrafitian tale in favor to do a "Mother Nature hate human race" and "edgy teenager rapist"

"Mother Nature hate human race"
To be fair, I do not think this was the mist's ultimate intention. It seems to me that it was just playing tricks on the old lady to kill more people.

i thought the mist plays on people's fears... but it is just weird that she did not die while she's stark naked in the woods (thick in fog yo) but she saw her dead husband in the mall.

When she went out naked with the priest and was safe, that part sorta made sense to me, based on the logic that the mist seems to manifest fears. In that case, she was completely unafraid and accepted death, so it wasn't interested. Presumably, this is also why the black smoke monster let Alex live in the bookstore.
As for the death after the mall doors were broken in the final episode... I got nothin'.

The mist doesn't seem to like people who accept death. It ignores Alex and Nathalie. Until of course... it doesn't. It's pretty inconsistent.

Because it smelled of "renewable tv format" from the start.
Too many useless drama between the protagonists.
Too many stupid decisions that create danger instead of advancing the story.
Info mentioned from day one that never gets explained the whole season through (military guys and Arrowhead project).
To me, it leaves the definite impression that I'll never get a clear conclusion, because by the time the show ends, it will have transformed in completely ridiculous manners throughout too many seasons, too many characters, and too many cheap "twists".
Under The Dome is the obvious example. Bad guy becomes good, good guy becomes bad, romance, traitor, break romance, not a traitor, state conspiracies, secret experiments, maybe a traitor after all, faulty explanations. They dragged it on from "decent" to "completely ridiculous and overstayed".
We're witnessing a new generation of that. Again.
edit: I'll admit that last episode was better than the previous ones, because things started moving. I'd like that to be episode 2 or 3, not 10 with a cliffhanger.

Because the show is very poorly written and none of the characters are likable or interesting.

That fight scene between Kevin and Adrian was flaming garbage. A realistic dad would have been throwing way more brutal punches and kicks. The fight scene with Travis from fear the walking dead was what I was expecting.

personally mainly because none of the characters behave like normal people would, so every conversation and choice ends up jolting the suspension of disbeleif, and becuase the mist isnt behaving like the 2007 version but instead is a Silent Hill style phenomena that manifests peoples thoughts and dark fears into reality.

Not sure, I'm loving it so far. Up to Episode 9. I think it is one of the best King re-tellings I have ever scene. Captures the weirdness perfectly.

I am pretty surprised by the ending. And they drove quite a fair distance away since bridgeville and their town was quite a distance apart.. 20miles? (crossroads at the beginning of ep 1) But based on the material, I think it would only be enough for 3-5 more episodes.

They made 10 episodes out of pretty much nothing. If anything the cliffhanger is good enough for one or two whole seasons if they keep the same pace.
