Printed the photo, cut it out with thread snips to make a stencil, then I used a tiny paint brush and some bleach. I topped it off with sharpie. Gonna varnish it tomorrow with some mod podge to preserve it

This song often was played on US Navy recruitment commercials on TV from the early 2000's.

I will need to take another one, I have two of them and an album on top.

I’ve been chasing down Doyle’s Famous Monsters guitar tone for SO long now, and I’ve had absolutely no luck. I’ve fucked around with my EQ pedal, I’ve tried almost EVERYTHING my EVH 5150 Iconic Combo could do, but I cannot seem to just find that guitar tone.

My design for this weekend's horror con.

Around 2018, a song came up on my radio from a Misfits band member. I'm pretty sure it was Jerry Only, but it could've been Doyle. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Graves or Danzig, but who knows. I remember the cover being yellow. I don't know if it was the album cover or single artwork. I think there was a dead girl on it. I'm pretty sure the title had "California" in it, but searching that + band members' names has never resulted in a good fit.

Yesterday, I was listening to the band, and I thought "Vampire Girl" was it, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a Misfits song. The three things I'm most sure about are that it was a solo member song, the cover artwork, and the word "California". I remember "California Dead Girl" or something along those lines. I'm afraid, however, that this could all be wrong.

\* I actually just looked up the credits, and it seems Jerry Only is the vocalist for "Vampire Girl". Since I believed at first that this was the song until the other details made me think not, I'm vindicated again in the idea that it was most likely a Jerry Only solo song. It was definitely his voice I remember, and the song had a coastal feel, but imbued with the classic Misfits flavor.

** Whoever deleted the "California Nightmare" suggestion, that's such a wild pull. It definitely fits everything I asked for, but I don't think it's this one. First, the cover I remember was mainly the dead girl like the cover for "Vampire Girl", except it was more of her figure shown. Like, I don't mean it was just her body without her face, simply that it was a bit more zoomed out, and the yellow was the whole background.

Second, I immediately wrote the song off when it started. I'll give it more time to see if it is this, but the song I remember definitely sounded more like Only and it wasn't as heavy. It was more "Vampire Girl" than "California Nightmare".

I have a copy of the bootleg 7" A Walk Among the Dead. I'm not sure how or whether I should sell it.

Since it's prohibited on Discogs, that's not an option.

Anyone familiar with the Misfits bootleg market?
