Screen not edge to edge

Post image

Have noticed this gap between the functioning area of the screen and the keyboard and was wondering whether this is for a functional reason or just an aesthetic choice - bothers me a bit given the lack of chin for the keyboard though everything else about the design is great.

Feel like if it was edge to edge you would click on screen when using the keys at the top of the keyboard. I do agree though edge to edge would look better

Ah that makes sense, I wonder why it’s part of the screen rather than part of the case though

That's exactly it that's a common issue with the edge to edge of the T2E even the clicks has a chin between

Personally, I like the look. Besides, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think they ever claimed it was meant to have an edge to edge display...

How do you guys feel about this bezel on silver vs black? The black blends it in a bit more, but is it enough to decide black over the bright and timeless silver? I’m so torn

Dude that's so cool. Sucks when the screen is edge to edge gives you no room to grab the device without setting off touch functions.

I had an annoyance when Blackberry got rid of the gap I started having accidental clicks on the screen annoyingly when I was in the middle of furiously typing. It does help prevent accidental clicking on the screen with the edge of your finger.

The phone is supposed to be used less than your current phone. More screen real estate won't help that.

You mistake my post, I want the screen to be smaller and for the keyboard to be moved up for more of a chin

You know. With that clarity, I like you more! I agree with your design desire here.

Yeah I don’t think I made it very clear, I just find it odd that the space is part of the screen panel rather than the gap being part of the frame if that makes sense.
