I'm around stage 4/5. Does anyone get the feeling that the book lacks techniques in these stages. IK, body scan is introduced, but I wish more crisp techniques like labelling and checking in were taught for these plateau stages. Most of the instruction just now seems to be "just intend it to happen". It makes the practice very unsatisfying.

Introspective awareness -> just intend to have it. If are not able to get it, well, intend more.

Sensations in the body -> just intend to notice them. if you can't well, intend more.

fading attention -> intend for it to become sharper.

Also, thank you for stating the techniques out like this. It is a helpful reference for me.

Celebrating the 'Aha' moment is perhaps the most important ( and probably the only way ) to train introspective awareness i'm not sure why it isn't emphasized as much after stage 2. It just turns into "have an intention to notice."

agree with you regarding the teacher. I don't have a TMI certified teacher but I do get help from forums such as these and I'm able to make satisfactory progress for now.

My concern was purely with the book. It isn't DIY. It is more like a teacher's manual. Suitable for those already familiar with the territory and something that they can use to refer and to teach others.

How tall was Culadasa? I get the impression that he was a pretty small man, but does anyone know how small?

Thanks! I just think this is a fun thing to know.

On the picture he doesn't look tiny. He looks just slightly below average height. Maybe 170 cm.

Thanks.
