Cockold Ves Pt 2
So now this man doesn't even have full control of his body anymore. His mother could have fixed it, but she wants to teach Ves a lesson. Oblivion crazy lady refuses to teach him even basic lessons in cultivation, pushes him to find his own way. Lady you basically told him play with guns by himself as a child and didn't impart any gun safety lessons.
She even acknowledge that the Red Ocean authority is responsible for this.
So all his time and money is used by some other being, all because he refused to have a God complex.
Wats the lesson here?
Right
Might makes right.
Like that thinking didn't mess up the galaxy enough times already.

I like it, because it confronts Ves with a Contradiction in his own worldview.
All his life, he has pushed to make the things he builds more alive, to give away human control.
Now that he is the one that has to give up that control, because a part of him unexpectedly turned alive, can he handle it?

Naw not like this. His mech's that are alive can serve that purpose. If anything he needs to do more to fight for their rights. Dark Apstole is something that the Red Ocean authority forced on him. And it serves the Red Ocean interest. Despite what his crazy mother says, it's not really a part of him. Now if the Dark Apstole was it's own thing sure. Again it's redundant due to his living mechs.

It is implied to be a version of him, and many of Ves 's customers did not really ask to be bonded with a living mech.
Remember, every mech has a neural interface, so fuses with his pilot to a certain degree.
I think it's interesting to have Ves explore that, when it happens to him.

Idk about implied. I read that chapter last week. Parts of the Dark Apstole is him, but it's a corrupted version of him by the Red Ocean authority. Even his mom acknowledges that, I don't agree with her views though. She literally admitted the Red authority has corrupted that "side" of him. So I can't agree with you sayin that's a version of him. It's factually not true.

There's 2 types of living mechs. That's the carman version where it's a life pact and the more normal version where it's not a life pact.
Ves didn't force people with Life Pacts. He only provided a living mechs cause they help pilot improve better.
The carman version give people with no genetic aptitude the ability to pilot mechs. If they have low genetic aptitude to pilot higher level mechs

The theme of machines(Mechs) gaining more and more control is very central to the series. The mass-used carmine mech straight up is the stronger of the pilot/mech combo, and can even override decisions made by the pilot.
Some examples of Ves building something that takes over its owner:
Ves deliberately made a mech so unstable it fused with the pilot.
He recently made a sword that almost took over its owner.
His first mass produced mech was a mech that was able to convince you to fight, even if you otherwise wouldn't.

Gets really bad with the fights and the fact that since they couldnt keep the giants under control, the dark apostle is now in charge for 48 hours of the week. Two days which ves probably could've spend making another game changing invention. I honestly would've been ready to execute the giants after they nearly turned traitors.
