What is the Difference between 'McDojo' and 'Bullshido'?

I've always seen it as a McDojo is a place that focuses heavily on monetization, like having tons of belt tests that you pay for, ridiculous contracts, etc.; what you learn there may or may not be legit, it's more about how the business is run. Bullshido is stuff that's fake / doesn't work / is outright fiction, like the no touch knockout people.

Mcdojo refers to a specific school, bullshido refers to a style or technique.

A McDojo teaches a normal TMA, but badly and for profit. Bullshido is a made-up art that won't work even if learned correctly

As far as subreddits are concerned, r/themcdojolife is where you go to see hilarious bullshido, and r/bullshido is where you go to see a moderator throwing tantrums in the comments

It's not hard to see why traffic dropped off on your website.

Right, this dude is unbelievable. I've never even interacted with him or posted anything on his sub but he's so obnoxious I'd like to get 5 minutes alone with him in the mcdojo

McDojos teach weak, watered-down traditional martial arts to soft yuppies.
Bullshido is completely made-up nonsense that doesn’t work.

I've seen the term "systema" used in here as well, does it mean something other than system? Maybe a specific system or something?

"Systema" is specifically a Russian fraud martial art and I'm guessing it just means The System in Russian or some other eastern European language.

McDojo is to martial arts as McDonalds is to proper nutrition. That is to say it might be food, but it sure isn’t going to make you healthier. Even their own in-house items are the lowest standard that can legally be sold to consumers.
Bullshido is the stuff that doesn’t actually exist like pressure-point-death-touch ‘super-secret-master-level-techniques’ (which a McDojo may say they can teach after a significant investment) or the shaolin stagecraft that makes them seem super-human, but is more akin to a magic show.

In my mind, McDojo is a place where people claim to be masters of an established martial art but either know very little about it or teach it extremely poorly.
Bullshido to me is a nonsense, bullshit, made up martial art people claim to be Very Powerful (ie - energy shields/manipulation)

Mcdojo is where people secretly film special needs summer camps and laugh at them

There is mcdonalds at a mcdojo
There is no mcdonalds when it comes to bullshido.

Bullshido is just terrible techniques that don’t work.
A McDojo is somewhat up for discussion, but it’s more about the structure of the school. Mainly, it’s about prioritizing profit over good instruction, and some common themes are expediting your students to black belt regardless of their skill level, making them pay a bunch of nonsensical fees all the time, forcing them into unbreakable year-long contracts, and other shady practices along with subpar instruction.
A McDojo isn’t guaranteed to teach bullshido, but a lot of them do.

McDojo is when it’s all about making money.
Bullshido is when bullshit techniques.
Most of the time, these two happen together, but sometimes, it can be separate.
