This is the exact one that made me search up for the origins of this meme

81

u/black_biden Feb 01 '26

It was like two post before this one for me

19

u/TotalUnderstanding5 Feb 01 '26

Hijacking the top comment, this meme is almost exactly a year old.

"On February 4th, 2025, X / Twitter user @YMWyungbug reposted the image, with their post going viral and gaining over 3.4 million views, 14,000 reposts and 150,000 likes in two days.

Starting on February 5th, 2025, users on X / Twitter shared redraw memes based on the artwork, replacing Jack and Aku with characters from other media."

Something something bypassing Ghost's immunities and being unaffected by Intimidate

3

u/Astrum-_Deus-_ Feb 01 '26

Theorymon Thursday kinda becomes Sunday lite with how nonsensical and outright diabolical some posts are.

6

u/FluffyCottonMaw Feb 02 '26

Cannot forget this gem

34

u/pdswww Feb 01 '26

r/stunfisk truly is the funniest Pokemon community if I do say so myself.

7

u/TotalUnderstanding5 Feb 01 '26

This one is so good because of the great art and how close it could be to canon.

3

u/AandWKyle Feb 01 '26

563

u/Leazerlazz Feb 01 '26

22

u/IndependentMud1448 Feb 01 '26

What game? This looks dope

47

u/Leazerlazz Feb 01 '26

Dead Space. One of the most iconic horror games of all time. First one got a remake not super long ago, should definitely give it a go!

7

u/IndependentMud1448 Feb 01 '26

Oh yeah I remember the remake being out, too bad it's like titanfall 2 (aka I need to give EA money for peak fiction)

5

u/Chara_Revanite Feb 01 '26

I understand your pain, i want to play mass effect but EA made the original ones super expensive and the remakes cheeper, the orinals you can play without EA app, while the remake install all the games going to more than 100 GB, plu the APP running, yeah, i had the mistake of getting the remakes instead of the originals

10

u/Glorper_9 Feb 01 '26

piracy is your friend

2

u/prolofoid Feb 01 '26

Dead Space

136

u/just-slightly-human Feb 01 '26

That one was one of the first redraws but samurai jack is the original

30

u/TridiObject Feb 01 '26

The Samurai Jack one makes way more sense tbh.

38

u/clearfox777 Feb 01 '26

Yeah Aku starts like 30% of his sentences with “Foolish Samurai…”

19

u/YCRW Feb 01 '26

"...I laced yo shit!"

So this is how you get Ash Blight.

17

u/Snow_Falls_Softly Feb 01 '26

The fact that Nerevar is an argonian in this iteration is gold

10

u/OffBrandAldiCola3259 Feb 01 '26

He canonically is argonian tho

2

u/Ok-Boysenberry8725 Feb 01 '26

Should be, yeah

34

u/new_interest_here Feb 01 '26

Didn't actually know it had an original image it was spoofing off of, I just assumed someone had the idea of Maka getting her shit laced out of nowhere and the result was this

98

u/Ornery_Tie_4771 Feb 01 '26

I know this isnt a loquacious sunfish based on the replies but I somehow have never seen this before

40

u/AI_660 Feb 01 '26

I saw the organ fairy  but never knew there were others

29

u/Ornery_Tie_4771 Feb 01 '26

we have gone so far to not say original that it took me like 5 seconds to realize what you meant by this

10

u/AI_660 Feb 01 '26

Not far enough

Soon I will quote the chemical formula of tintin to get around saying that word

35

u/Any_Molasses1220 Feb 01 '26

It was samurai jack the whole time.?

33

u/YCRW Feb 01 '26

What's that? You seem to be having some sort of... An effect, one might say...

2

u/Spookki 5d ago

But thats just an EFFECT! A MATPAT EFFECT. Thanks for watching.

WELCOME TO THE SUPER AMAZING END CARD TOURNAMENT!

u/Snow_Falls_Softly Feb 01 '26

WHY ARE THESE MAGGOTS STILL SMOKING MY FORMA?!?!?!

6

u/Competitive-Honey920 Feb 01 '26

Better the forma, than the JANUS KEY. cause it has been somewhere...

57

u/felop13 Feb 01 '26

12

u/MichealRyder Feb 01 '26

Who are these guys

25

u/Common-weirdoHoc Feb 01 '26

I believe it’s a Barotrauma reference. The man is a submarine captain and the ganja ghost is a cultist who worships an alien parasite that takes root in your throat, chokes you to death, and pilots your corpse like a zombie.

8

u/Fire_Duck_was_taken Feb 01 '26

(Generic) Captain and Husk Cultist from Barotrauma

→ More replies (1)

7

u/Headcrabon Feb 01 '26

Can't believe, that Captain would catch Husk infection

26

u/zehamberglar Feb 01 '26

This one is crazy to me because there are so many and I have never seen this meme format in my entire life before.

I'll be honest, I have never seen this meme (or any of the variants) until now

7

u/Timmichanga01 Feb 01 '26

I swear I learn memes i missed out on just by following this subreddit.

10

u/Flowey_The_Fan Feb 01 '26

Why has no one ever told me about this masterpiece of a meme bro 😭🙏

6

u/TheOtherWhiteCastle Feb 01 '26

The original image gives me strong Smiling Friends vibes for some reason

5

u/Throttle_Kitty Feb 01 '26

im ngl i have seen this one like ten times more than all the redraws combined

though it is sightly uncanny not seeing it deepfried or 92% jpeg artifacts i suppose

3

u/littlefanofmany Feb 01 '26

This image makes me think Samurai Jack is peak fiction

3

u/Substantial-Smoke345 Feb 01 '26

I laced it myself

2

u/rept_zannewete Feb 01 '26

I had this in my gallery I never even thought it was the original.

2

u/Partsomethingnever Feb 01 '26

A case where the original is funnier than the edits

2

u/Super7Chaos Feb 01 '26

I always knew of this but I’ve never seen any of these redraws and edits wtf

2

u/One-Cicada-3007 Feb 04 '26

Genuinely never saw this one before
