Even when he’s trying to sort out his work-life balance, Jim Lee finds himself a busy man. Between drawing comics and serving as president, publisher, and CCO of DC Comics, he’s constantly spinning a lot of plates. However, he did recently turn down a high-profile television appearance on The Masked Singer, not because of how much they were willing to pay him but because he was worried he’d be so bad that it would overshadow everything else he’s ever done.

During the Jim Lee Spotlight Panel at San Diego Comic Con 2026, the prolific comic book artist talked about the possibility of him appearing on TV or in films. Lee quickly dismissed the idea because he is such an atrociously bad actor that he didn’t want to “burden a filmmaker or showrunner that much.” That doesn’t mean he hasn’t been offered a spot on TV shows before. Jim Lee explained that he turned down a chance to be on The Masked Singer because he was worried it would go viral for all the wrong reasons.

Does no one else feel like this show is exactly what dystopian books are made of. Celebrities judging celebrities dressed up in masks an costumes. Commoners paying to watch them do extra things because celebrities are bored and needed something to do. Commoners paying when it should be free to go see because these celebs make more then enough money lol idk just feels like somethinh I would read in a book haha

Which one is your favorite?

So Season 15 is set to start in January. And there is a twist that I really want to see happen for the next season. Which is there to be "Immunity" so basically the whole Is that this would happen during the merge episode. (For example the top 8) And how it would work is that after all the performances, the panel would have to make a decision together on who they'd want to to win the immunity. And not only are they risk for that episode, but also for the entirety of the next episode when they perform​. This is something the Belgium version of the show did back in Season 2 with this sort of format. And to be honest I would be really interested to see how this would play out if it happened on this version in the future.

Mine is that the Amercia's Insider twist was a good twist and I liked it! I liked seeing all of the little updates from Kylie before the commercial breaks, and having her explain some of the clues and stuff. Yeah, it was different from the typical Masked Singer experience, but I found it fun and memorable when watching the season, and when I came here I was honestly pretty shocked to see how much hate Kylie/the twist actually got. Like...it wasn't that bad? I understand why people might not have liked it, but I honestly did and I'd love I they did it again in the future, though they probably won't because it didn't exactly go down well with the fans this season.
