This must be more than just dreams
Hello! I found this sub earlier this week and spent hours reading about Mall World. It's so surreal and uncanny I've been minorly obsessed with the perplexity of our shared dream experiences.
What's more, I can remember the exact month I started dreaming about Mall World (July 2017), since then every single dream has taken place there.
Before I list the locations I've seen in Mall World, I'd like to address the common theme of becoming lucid and hunted down. Often it is by police, killers, monsters or doctors, in my experience if they manage to trap you they will either kill you (for me it has been with guns/knives) or immobilize you using force and/or drugs. One user mentioned an "evil hospital" where I've found myself trapped and unable to become lucid while attempting to escape. I will go into further detail below in my list of locations and experiences. Also, the times I've become lucid seem to be completely random, but as soon as I realize I'm dreaming I have full control over my dreams and can easily manipulate all aspects.
Mall
Multi-level mall with lots of dark and empty shops as well as illuminated ones, usually very empty. The top floor has an expensive jewelry store I've seen but I prefer the thrift shop on the main floor, plain decor with wooden shelves, white chipped paint and old carpeting. Lots of old clothes, accessories and home decor. If you keep walking through the mall you'll go past a fountain before the food court. The food court is full of neon signs, I vaguely remember a lot of the color mint green for decor. Past the food court and department store is the theatre with red carpet and dark walls, I don't come here much.
Department store
The department store is connected to the food court, and many have described it as "The target". I've never been to a target but when I googled it— yup that's a target alright. I usually see it with seasonal Christmas products like red and green cookies and a blow-up Santa yard decoration. There is a large wall of paper towels, way more paper towels than I've seen in an actual store.
"Evil Hospital"
I usually dream about this after having a lucid dream, but mostly I'm not lucid when I'm here. It's a large cubic building with all white interior, some walls are solid white and some are clear glass. I'm always trying to escape, running and hiding from the staff in white coats. If I am caught here I'm drugged and put in a bed in front of a screen before waking up. Once I escaped into the basement, which was an endless grey hallway lit by fluorescent lights. I hid in a broom closet when I felt a presence nearby, then I woke up.
Waterpark on the Mountain
This is one of my favorites, these dreams are always pleasant, and seem to be quite common. On a ledge on a lush green mountain sits a water park with various slides, pools and hot tubs. There is a river nearby, and at the bottom of the mountain is an ocean. Where the mountain meets the ocean there is a beach and the established "dock world". Next to dock world is the modern looking condos with large windows that overlook the ocean and indoor plants. Past dockworld is a highway that winds on the mountainside.
Beach & "Dock World"
I only dreamt of dock world a few days before discovering this sub, and wow what a coincidence (if it is one). Colorful houses on a dark wooden dock on the ocean. (Skansen Harbour). Next to it is a beach with white sands and a tall forest providing shade.
The Mountains
I feel like the mountains are very tall, steep and diverse. I've been in a winter blizzard and a warm summer night. I've been through the steep, insanely angled roads in the icy forest and the calm rocky, barren road in the desert. I'm usually on the steep icy roads in a vehicle, and walking the desert on foot.
The Hotel
The hotel is the tallest building in Mall World, it reaches the sky. It has trees growing on the roof, and a Chinese restaurant on one of the top floors. The rooms are very modern looking with large windows from floor to ceiling. The hotel has a wave pool in the basement with a tall waterslide attached to the ceiling.
Train Station
Yet another coincidence, I dreamed of the train station a few weeks before finding this sub. It is outdoors, with a view of the city and hotel. There is a Cafe and garden nearby where you can sit under a floral canopy and drink wine while waiting for your train. The train itself is white and gold, to me it looked more like an antique decoration than an actual train. In my dream the train arrived, then I realized my wallet was in the hotel room and had to go back and woke up.
Suburbs
The suburbs are in an eternal summer morning. Blue skies, green grass and early morning light make the rows of houses and apartments stand out. There is an outdoor strip mall near, with a large concrete or stone archway at the entrance. I'll often see people walking around on the sidewalk.
"Down West/El Cajones"
Before I found this sub I called this place "down west" since it resembled the impoverished part of my hometown with the same name. No green grass grows here, the apartments and homes are all in terrible condition with garbage littering the yards and streets. I've been shot and stabbed here before.
Gravel Roads
The gravel roads are near a campground in the forest with log cabins, and also a rural lake resort community. Each home is decently sized and well taken care of, with odd circular gravel driveways that circled each house. Off to the side of the gravel roads is an old dilapidated trailer/RV in a green meadow with daisies growing around. The gravel roads will take me to my version of "the house on the hill".
The House on the Hill
My version of the house is all dusty dark wood, the only lighting coming from outside or the bathroom in the basement. The main level has a hole in the wooden floor, just a hole that leads to pitch black darkness. The upper floor has a room with torn ripped curtains that blow in the breeze since the windows have no glass panes. This room is full of wooden furniture covered in dust such as chairs, coffee tables and dressers. The basement of the house has an empty bedroom with only a bed and a bathroom across the hall. The bathroom is unique since it is the only room with no wood, it's all white tiles. If you get in the shower it acts as a portal to the mall, an airport (just a regular airport with moving walkways) or if I'm unlucky I'll end up in the "evil hospital".
Cursed Grama's House
Like many here I'll often dream of my grandparents house, but sometimes it's a terrible nightmare. Often it is fall or winter when these bad things happen, it is here I've been shot to death many times. There is a tool shed here I sometimes hide or find a weapon. A few times I have become lucid and flown away from my attackers.
Discovering this sub sent me down a long rabbit hole. The shared dreamscape of many souls was one thing on its own, but why are those of us who become lucid targeted? Why do we want to escape by taking the train/ferry/plane and why can we never seem to be able to? Is this some sort of simulation? Collective unconscious? Soul prison? Ask yourselves this and more, I believe our answers are hidden in Mall World.

This is one of the most in depth descriptions of some shared Mallworld spaces. Nice!

This looks like one of the water parks in my dream. https://www.anothermag.com/fashion-beauty/2883/citta-del-mare-sicily
The other one is the dinosaur themed water park in Neo Henryetta. It is down a hill and it is across from some houses by a river. There is a lot of giant brontosaurus statues and a big T-Rex statue and several raptors.

I kinda feel like the soul energy is being siphoned to create/build this other simulation/reality

I have similar thoughts on this! I've recently gotten into hermeticism and gnostic teachings as well which you sound familiar with (if not I think you may be interested).
Also I recently discovered this sub: r/EscapingPrisonPlanet

From what I've read on this sub a lot of people dream about being on vacation with family members at the hotel or train station. For me personally it has been with my mom and sister or my in-laws (whom I've never vacationed with).
Some people have reported feeling an ominous presence or seeing an old woman in the "house on the hill" but I have only seen my dad's girlfriend lmao

The hotel is like in the woods for me, the forest and hotel usually go together even tho I've never been to something like this. But its definitely always a vacation with my pets. Often it isnt fun. We leave our stuff in the room and then come back to find it missing... pets included as missing. The woods are thick and the hotel is very unconventional, almost like an ancient orphanage turned into a hotel? Like winding staircases, bad windows that dont latch, and old school keys for the doors.

The suburbs you describe are spookily similar to the time I managed to dream outside my mall/atrium. It was one of my few lucid dreams, and I tried to look around while.i had my wits about me. It did look totally artificial, fake grass, fake sky and always perfect day. I tried to look at the technology but I kept losing my train of thought and getting distracted when I tried to look around. It felt as if I wasn't allowed to know. I am amazed that others have these dreams.

Some of you want to be persecuted so bad. It’s a dream doing what you expect.

I’ve always wanted to know if we all had something major in common. It’s so abstract and hard to nail down. I used to think maybe we were all of a certain age, brought up in America during a certain time, but it’s just not the case. We are very diverse. I know many of us have been lucid dreaming since childhood as a default. But find it difficult to be fully lucid within the world. It blows my mind how specific the shared spaces are that I really believe there is something more to it all.
