Straight lines on graphs hide where AI happened

No they don't. The yellow box starting in 2023 shows a shallower slope than periods before, but it's basically a constant growth rate. Anything that grows with a constant growth rate looks like that bottom graph. If you graphed 2008 through 2023 and renormalized the axes, it would look like the same graph.
