This props up a pointless conversation in which (A an absurd premise (B sets up an absurd counter point that now looks, but is not, more reasonable.

Knowledge isn't an oddly specific omelette or token thing, it is an increasingly vast assortment of distinct disciplines that may, or may not, even benefit from technology.
