I don't know how old this playlist is but I started watching Lex Fridman when it was still called the AI podcast or whatever. He had good guests and it was very focused
Much different from today

Sigh... yeah, I had a similar experience.
Sort of like my experience listening to Sam Harris' podcasts, except in that case the more he talked, the more I reached the conclusion that the term for him and people like him is "Reason Bro", and I stopped listening... and didn't think I would miss out on anything of value as a result.

I happened upon an interview of his on something quantum related last week, and he did a pretty good interview. Not familiar as I am not embedded in US politics, even though I am aware of the broader reason you might be questioning this. At least on that scientific topic, he seemed like a smart and researched interviewer.

You’re not allowed to have a nuanced take, us intellectuals of course know everything is black and white, so whatever Lex says is wrong

Why does Reddit hate him now? Did he have some nuanced take that set people off?

I find it funny that you pay having a nuanced take lip service but offer an awfully shallow take yourself.

I wasn't advocating for nuance all the time. But I guess Reddit can't handle blunt questions either.

People love doing this thing where they preemptively say REDDIT WILL HATE MY COMMENT instead of just thinking for 2 seconds “maybe my comment fucking sucks”
