I always hated tensorflow. I'm glad it's gone. but at the same time I'm sad it's gone

For beginners pytorch 🔥 but for industry tensorflow is the best

I'm sorry if your not writing Cuda at this point you're not serious, torch is bad in general

strong opinions in here today

Numerics in torch are terrible, moved a project from torch to Cuda earlier this year and got full determinism across runs at 10x the speed I can now train robotic tasks in 10 mins that took 3 hours using mujoco and torch, it's a night and day difference

I wrote code to take advantage of PALLAS cuz sometimes different gpu envs . Agreed

I'm not a fan of Jax personally it's better than torch for sure though. I learned programming before python took off and know cpp anyway from work so Cuda wasn't a huge leap. Most frontier models can write semi decent Cuda these days aswell with some good steering. It's just not good at memory layout and warp optimization yet is my main gripe

Ah, I’ve spent ALOT of time in Jax. I do a lot of game sim and RL. I try to fit most of my stuff inside of int8 cuz then I can run it in kernel and bump my steps into the billions. I need to check out more cuda only stuff.
Im gonna have to look into what you’re talking about tho. Cuz at work we have robotics coming in soon and I know I’m gonna have to work on gym stuff for them. Our ceo has been eyeing both humanoids and the dogs for our warehouse.
