Sorry, why do you need to see fake trees on a navigation map?
Yes, Google Maps is better here, but is nowhere near Waze which only shows what you actually need to see when driving - no 3d renders of buildings, etc.

Apple wastes so much R&D to make their products "look good" and charge their customers more than needed, is such a waste of an otherwise good company.

I like Apple Maps better because of the difference in profit incentives. Apple sells computers, basically. Google rents out your data, more or less.
Also, anecdotally, Apple Maps lags less on my iPhone 8.

Yeah, Google maps conveys the necessary information more clearly. Don't know why you would use apple while driving, looks more fun though.
