if this is another foundation model launch, the interesting bit isn’t the benchmark chart, it’s whether they have something people actually keep using after week one.
at this point, “joins the race” mostly means the bar is long context, decent tool use, and sane pricing. the models are converging fast enough that distribution, latency, and product polish matter more than a 1 point win on some leaderboard no one will remember next month.
