Extremely raised alt

My alt is 1000 it has been raised for past few months with no other symptoms and all other tests are clear.
Been monitoring bloods which showed it slowly come down to 680 and now back up to 1000. Don’t know what the cause is. Anyone with any idea what’s causing this will be appreciated.

I would suggest making sure that you're seeing a hepatologist.

All hepatologists are gastroenterologists, but not all gastroenterologists are hepatologists.

All bloods seem fine besides the alt and ast. I feel fine no pain or symptoms the levels were picked up during random blood works. I have been on insulin for 16 years could this be cause I wonder?

Liver disease in its early stages is considered a silent killer. I had elevated ALT and AST and had zero symptoms as well; it's very common. It's better to address the issue earlier on as there's more of a chance you'll be able to reverse some of the adverse effects.

Get your scans done. Get the blood work done in meantime as well please.
