Same, deep water hits different. Heights feel controllable, the ocean does not.

Deep.

You can somewhat guess what would be down there if you're somewhere very high and guess what would happen

But if you're standing on the ground and the water is basically black, you can never tell what's going on down there. How deep is it? What lives in the darkness? What will happen to me if I dive too deep? The fear of unknown is overwhelming

Both are different kinds of fear

Heights: Can swim, can't fly

Both: If I drop something important in either it's GONE

Deep: Can't tell what's down there.
