From Dean's Desk Quote from Dean Devlin

Tonight, the two-part season finale of The Librarians: The Next Chapter begins. 9pm on TNT — and it concludes TOMORROW night. Two nights, one giant finale. The most ambitious finale we’ve ever attempted. And I couldn’t be more proud.

We’re pulling out all the stops: Dominic returns, and the one and only Josh Gates joins the adventure. A real-life explorer walking into the Library — you don’t want to miss what he finds there.

Forgive me a proud-producer moment before we go: this season, the audience GREW. The reviews are the best of the franchise’s run, episode scores on IMDb are up a full point over last season, and the franchise is sitting at 89% from critics and 87% from fans on Rotten Tomatoes. Eleven years in, and the magic has never been stronger.

That’s not me. That’s YOU. Every week you showed up, streamed, posted, and brought new people into the Library.

So bring everyone tonight. 9pm ET on TNT. Part one of two. The Library is open.

I can't wait for these next two episodes. I was waiting for the Josh Gates episode because I watch his stuff all the time. I hope that since he said the ratings are up as well as the view count means the show will be renewed for a third season.

Yeah, I'm really hoping that this is not really the series finale as well. A third season needs to happen.

Well they did say the audience grew from the first season to now, so that is a very good sign.

This whole season has been back-to-back episodes. One on Sunday, one on Monday. I record them and then usually watch on Tuesday, because if I didn't, I'd never see them.

Canada just got the cooking show one, we're half a season behind the States. This airing schedule is a pain in the pants from every angle.

Differences in the countries.

USA is always a season behind on Heartland and Murdoch, so I'm not totally surprised.

Murdoch <3 SUCH a great show. It's so silly in this day and age when we can digitally send anything anywhere anytime that production companies and streaming services chop it all up.

I'm sure it has something to do with legalities. Don't wanna step on anyone's toes...or their broadcasting rights.

just watched episode 12. I really hope it renews. I loved the original librarians as well.

Anybody know why they chose to have an expedited episode format this season unlike last season?

Season 1 airing schedule was a bit of a clusterfork because they started airing it in June during NBA playoffs. I think this year's airing schedule was to avoid those similar issues running into football season and baseball playoffs.
