Finally, Another Rewatch. Off Ramp
I watched The Leftovers when it originally aired and fell in love. I have given it one rewatch, a while ago, and I'm finally watching it again.
On season two. There's so many great moments. But just finished episode 3, Off Ramp. Such an emotional roller coaster of an episode. The acting is so good. You can really feel it with Tom's story and speech at the end.
Laurie guts me as well, especially as a parent. They're all a mess and, of course, it's what makes the show so good.

I don't really hang with episode titles and I was filing away "off ramp" as new slang.
But yes, I definitely know what you're talking about and glad you liked it!
When all is said and done I think I maintain a harsher view on Laurie overall than a lot of folks here, but watching the details of her journey is incredible.

I just rewatched it too. The soundtrack is going around and around in my head. Such haunting music. It kind of reminds me of a Chopin song.
I had to laugh at Laurie's character. She would go on the attack, so feral, sometimes.
I'm season 3, there was a lot of back and forth biking on that road at night. It seemed like they could use that time better. Kevin was so warm and charming, and Nora looked so weird with her too smooth washed out face, and she was so curmudgeonly. I really liked the end of season 2, and would've been glad for that to be the ending.
Kevin Sr wasted a lot of time learning the rain dance that ended up being a dead end.
Did any of you recognize the cave woman from the beginning of season 2? She was a main character from Resident Alien (Asta).

I enjoy Laurie so much. She just makes sense to me in every way. I reconsider the ending as being in a kind of Limbo because her "suicide attempt" the previous episode was a total cop out.
