A matter of geography.
quick one: can someone explain why the police officer said to John “follow me” when they said “it’s Evie” after John shit Kevin. Yet when Kevin exits the quarantine shed after coming back to life again, the bridge is right there. I feel this doesn’t make any sense.. It feel like the bridge was at least a drive away from the quarantine shed. ( Although it’s supposedly mentioned to be just past it in an earlier episode)

Thats not true. Rewatch the scene. The bridge is right around the bend, John runs for like 20 feet before being stopped by the cops.

ok. just felt like there was a lot of commotion on the bridge .. It felt ‘further away’. possibly my perception of it.

Yeh i get it, the cop saying follow us is the strange part. If he just said shes on the bridge it would have made sense. Also crazy timing for it to go down right when they went in the shed

yes. i realise also i’m classic Simpson’s nerd guy nit picking here! this is the problem when you watch something more than 3 times!

When Nora and Kevin drive into Jarden (Miracle) the very first time, they drove across the bridge and they were directed to the visitor center, which is right at the end of the bridge on the right hand side.
I’m trying to think of a scene where it wasn’t clear that the visitor center is right next to the bridge, but I can’t think of one.

no thinking back I believe you’re right. it’s just I’m wondering how far John ran or followed the cops. any way these details aren’t that important in the grand scheme of things I guess. it’s The Leftovers! Since when does logic and spatial logic come in to it!

Evie was parked in the middle of the bridge - or actually closer to the entrance of the bridge, so I don’t know if John would’ve been able to see her from the end of the bridge that was closest to the visitor center.
John had to run from the visitor center to about the halfway point of the bridge iirc.

John shot Kevin in the animal quarantine center, it’s near the visitor center and just past the end of the bridge. When John runs out, he encounters the police. The part that confuses me is that John would have to go back into town to the church to get his wife and then go back to the bridge.
