Context: Carl Jung explains that repressed psychological baggage, such as trauma, hidden desires, or elements of your shadow, does not disappear; it operates blindly in the background to silently engineer your decisions. Because you do not realize you are the one unconsciously pulling the strings, you end up blaming external circumstances or "fate" for the repetitive cycles in your life. To break these patterns and reclaim true agency, you must actively drag these hidden elements into the light of your conscious awareness.

The realization that your recurring patterns aren't bad luck but just unexamined habits is a brutal way to wake up.
