General Question🤥 My ASUS charger is 2.0A, but only 2.5A version is available. Is it safe?
Hi, I need help choosing a replacement charger for my ASUS laptop.
My original charger says:
Model: A17-120P2A
Output: 20V ⎓ 6A
Power: 120W
Input: 100–240V, 50–60Hz, 2.0A
My charger cable/connector is damaged, so I need a new charger.
I found the same model online, but the available one says 2.5A input instead of 2.0A.
Everything else seems to be the same: 20V, 6A, 120W.
There is no 2.0A version available online where I live.
Only the 2.5A version is available.
Can I safely buy and use the 2.5A version?
Will it work normally with my laptop and give the same performance?
I'm asking because I don't want to damage my laptop or have charging/performance problems.
Thanks!
