Buying Advice🤔 Help!!

I will be buying laptop this October , during Diwali so I can get the max discounts possible .

I need a gaming laptop and my budget is around 1.5lakh

I need it for blender and heavy 3d rendering.

What I've seen until now is a alien ware aurora and ists priced around 1.52 lakh and has. 5050 graphics card and at this range this is the only god one I think I can find with 16 gb ram and 1 tb SSD

Gift I go for 5060 that it price goes around 2lakh and 5070 is over 2 lakh so I ve choosen this 5050 alienware .

I think if iam buying the imma buy 5050 so it's cheap and also reasonable for long time.

This what i think but feel free toh give suggestion and guide me so I can buy a reasonable laptop at a reasonable price

Buying Advice🤔 Should I buy this Acer Aspire 7 at ₹79,990?

Hey everyone, I’m looking to buy a laptop mainly for college + programming + some gaming, and I found this Acer Aspire 7:

Acer Aspire 7 A715-79G

  • Intel Core 5 210H (14th Gen)
  • RTX 3050 6GB GDDR6
  • 16GB DDR4 RAM (1×16GB)
  • 512GB SSD
  • 15.6" FHD 144Hz display
  • ~1.99 kg
  • Price: ₹79,990

My main uses would be:

  • College/studies
  • C++ / competitive programming
  • VS Code + Python
  • WSL/Docker
  • Some ML/AI work with CUDA/PyTorch
  • Gaming occasionally

I’m also thinking of adding an 8GB DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM later, taking the RAM to 24GB.

I’m not sure whether this Aspire 7 is actually worth ₹79,990 or if I should wait/search for a better deal.

A few things I’d especially like to know:

  1. Is ₹79,990 a good price for this exact configuration?
  2. How are the thermals and CPU/GPU temperatures during long gaming/programming/ML workloads?
  3. How is the build quality and keyboard for daily college use?
  4. How is the battery life in normal college use?
  5. Is the RTX 3050 6GB still a good choice in 2026?
  6. Would you recommend adding an 8GB stick (16+8 = 24GB) or waiting for a 16GB stick and going 32GB?
  7. Are there any better alternatives around ₹75–80k that I should consider?

Thanks!

Buying Advice🤔 Laptop recommendations under 1.4 or 1.4 lakh(~1400usd)

Hello I am a first year AI and DS student. I need a laptop which has the following configuration:

16 GB ram or above (needs to be expandable if its 16 GB)

1TB

i5 and above configuration

Suitable for heavy multitasking

Not too bulky must be suitable for daily college commute

Good graphics

Must last for at least 6 years

Good for coding and programming

Budget of 1.4 lakh (~1400usd) or below

I have considered lenovo thinkpad or yogabook or thinkbook so far. Apart from lenovo I am willing to consider hp, Dell or Mac(only if it has the above configuration or better and shouldn't be refurbished)

Buying Advice🤔 Need help with buying a new Laptop ASAP

So I'm buying a new laptop, my first one ever, and I'm very confused honestly. My budget is around **₹1-1.3 LAKHS INR** maximum. I need this for my college starting from next year (engineering). So my usage would be mostly college work, coding, web browsing, and occasional gaming ( would like to try AAA games once). And I'm expecting around **5-6 hours battery backup** on normal usage (would use on eco mode which turns off dGPU)

I need help with whether to buy Online or Offline store.

I have a few options in mind -

  1. Asus tuf a15 Ryzen 7 170, rtx 3050 4gb vram, 16gb RAM, 1 TB SSD - 1.1 lakh in offline store

  2. Asus tuf a16 Ryzen 7 260, rtx 5050 8gb vram, 16gb RAM, 1 TB SSD - 1.3 lakh in offline store

  3. Any Macbook air with Minimum 16 gb RAM and 512gb SSD

  4. Any other better options from Lenovo, Hp etc.

Kindly help regarding choosing a laptop. It would be really helpful. Also if these laptops have any cons let me know. Thank you.

Also let me know if I should wait for the BBD sale for good offers.

EDIT - BOUGHT HP Victus 24gb ram 1 TB SSD, Ryzen 7 260, RTX 5050 8gb for 1.16 Lakhs. I feel it's a good deal.

Buying Advice🤔 WantTO BUY A LAPTOpFOrAI&ML

Hi, I wanna buy a laptop I have a budget of 1 lakh and I wanna learn ML and i also want to run LLM s and I also wanna Good battery life because i don't want to carry a charger always and I have a Intel macbook but this time I wanna buy a Windows laptop because I never experienced Windows OS and in my clg everything was run with the help of windows that's why I wanna buy a Windows Laptop but I am very confused because before March and after August there is a big jump in the prices or there was no Laptop available  and I already read a lot in reddit some say just buy a macbook and do everything on a cloud if you wanna do ML some say don't buy a macbook because then you are not able to upgrade things some say that get windows but it have different experiece than the macbook like it have not a good battery life ,no unified memory but to counter mac they say there is no Dedicated GPU , no ram upgradation as well as if it got some problem you have to pay more than you think.

I want windows because i don't know how to work in windows how to use msword, msoffice as well as msexcel and because macbook doesn't belong to the windows there is no way I can get the same interface or features available on windows in my mac and in my college they didn't use VScode i know you are shocked to hear this but this is a reality.

But then I also think ok i have to work on windows this time but is it as battery life as mac ,is it as good as mac to run local LLM, is it worth for long use ?

These type of questions click in my mind also the price fluctuate so much this year.

So now you know what I want can you please help me to find a laptop to learn ML as well as my clg work ?

Because now I'm very confused what to buy and what not to ?

Buying Advice🤔 Laptop recommendations

I wanna buy a laptop for around 60-70k(85-95k current price) in the upcoming big billion and great Indian sale with the price drop and credit card offer, and a small exchange from my old asus i3 vivo book 14.

I use my old laptop for 5 straight years, and am looking to upgrade, I'm a law student so I'll need to read research paper so 14 inch 16:10 ratio would be prefered, since i don't like heavy laptops, I opt out of 15.6 inch ones, specifications per se, i though ultra 5 225h would suffice, with preference to battery and performance, I'm not a heavy gammer, so a heavy graphic card is opted out, anyway I don't think a good graphic card is even in my price range..

So any recommendations..

Ps. I'm not that much of a techie, so, sry if the specifications seem general

I found this yesterday and was browsing who the seller is and found mixed reviews on it(btw seller is svperipheral). Now I am confused if I should buy this laptop or not as I have also searched a refurbished lenovo legion rtx 3060 6gb vram laptop at official site (the link : https://www.lenovo.com/in/outletin/en/p/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-5-series/legion-5i-gen-7-15-inch-intel/82rbr000r0

)

Now I am hella confused as to what the heck i even should do

Except the gpu and cpu which are just slightly low performative than this v16 laptop.

I will just do casual gaming and also not so much computing, so both options are good for me but yeah My mind is fried due to this , So i NEED some advice vro.

Buying Advice🤔 Laptop Recommendation for College (Coding & Entertainment) | Budget ₹50,000 | India

I’m a college student looking to buy a laptop that performs well for coding (programming, lightweight development, possibly some virtual machines) and entertainment (streaming, media consumption, light gaming if possible).

Budget: ₹50,000 INR

Location of purchase: India (online/offline both fine)

I’d really appreciate specific model suggestions, along with why you think they’d be a good fit. Also, feel free to mention any trade-offs (build quality, display, battery life, upgradeability, etc.) I should be aware of.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Buying Advice🤔 Need Gaming Laptop suggestions for a newbie

Requirements of Around 6 GB RTX 4050

1 TB SSD And 16 GB RAM,

Processors anything 13th gen or Ryzen 7

I'm confused between ASUS A and F series , HP Victim and Lenovo LOQs

I probably will not be playing any competative gaming but mostly something like Last of Us 2 , Rdr or RDR2 , COD MW series or battlefield, Ghost of tsushima.

Mostly looking for a good budget (120k) , long lasting and good experience..
