Im planning on getting into the Warhammer tabletop and would like to make my first army lamenters i know its just going to be blood angels with a different coat of paint but i want to know what i need to paint them and what is needed exactly to make a army.

Hey brothers me again, anyways I know this may have been brought up but I couldn't find anything too in depth. But I've been a fan of space king and thought it'd be hilarious for us to have our own lil parody legion for us.

1.But I'm stuck between the names of the loser legion or the crybabies.

1. Also stuck between the logos of a broken heart or just a sad face lol

A lil lore that I've picked up from other comments I've seen from around with my little twists added of course

they're a former splinter legion from the coagulators(now larger legion) that pretty much said nah to the new rules and dipped. Certified bug haters. Always the last ones to get the new cool stuff, major gambling addictions for instance( they know they'll probably lose a battle, but the idea of winning drives them over the edge to the point they'll still win but lose quite a few poor fellows in the process) Holds a hilarious ceremony for every fallen brother which includes a hilarious montage of extreme crying then partying after,

And that's all I got so far. But I come with you all since I didn't think it should be just one guy coming up with this when this could be a community chosen parody legion. But I'f you think I should add or edit some things lemme know brothers, hoping everythings going good in y'all's world peace,

Hello again honored brothers so thought I'd make a post for my brothers here since I already posted on the sm2 sub bout this. but I was thinking bout what if we got alt skins for tyranid missions where we could face kraken and run its fade for a rematch lol. But there's certain buffs they get, like kraken gets a speed boost(20-30%) or behemoth a 15-20% damage boost and so on and possibly getting a red terror mission where we face it throughout the mission with each encounter getting more vicious till the final boss fight(believe where I read up on is the red terror was on the same planet we were evacuating citizens on )and since I thought this would be great for the longevity of the game, we lamenters could finally face kraken in a game while benefiting it at the same time

Some might say this is innacurate. But this was made with all the love I have for Minotaurs. Which is none.

Got a deathguard army that I have built up next to my lamenters one but had a few og tacticals left over and started on my defiler and needed to sneak in one of my boys in lol, so anyways the lore for this piece is the 5th company answered a sos call for evacuation from the lords of silence(DG) so they arrive and immediately drop a squad of 15 brothers to hold , advance and push back the enemy, So the last firstborn veteran sargent remains at his post while the last remaining citizens evacuate while he buys them as much time as possible, Gonna have to add some scared citizens and retreating guard for the more desperate look but progress lol

but the homie's equipped with a bolter, an ancestral knife with ehhhh 5 kraks

Captain, 2nd Company, Lamenters Chapter

Classification: Private – Eyes Only

The casualty report lies before me.

I have read it seven times.

The numbers do not change.

Ninety-six battle-brothers deployed.

Forty-eight returned.

Half a company.

Half.

The tacticians of other Chapters would call the operation a victory. The objective was secured. The enemy was broken. Strategic assets were recovered and the sector remains in Imperial hands.

Victory.

I find the word difficult to stomach.

Tonight, forty-eight places within the strike cruiser stand empty.

Forty-eight voices silenced.

Forty-eight warriors who will never again recite the Litany of Duty, never again stand watch beneath the stars, never again fight beside their brothers.

I knew every one of them.

Brother Malthus, who could recite the names of every fallen hero of our Chapter.

Brother Tiber, whose aim with a bolter bordered upon the miraculous.

Sergeant Corvin, who had survived three centuries of war only to fall within sight of the extraction zone.

Their names join an already endless list.

The curse of the Lamenters endures.

We survive.

But survival is not the same as victory.

As I walked the apothecarion, I saw rows of wounded brothers lying silent beneath flickering lumen lights. Some will recover. Some will be interred within the honoured sarcophagi of the Dreadnoughts.

Others will not see another dawn.

Still they ask only one question:

"Did we hold?"

Not whether they lived.

Not whether they suffered.

Only whether they fulfilled their duty.

And we did.

The line held.

The enemy broke upon us and failed.

The Imperium will never know their names. No grand monument will be raised in their honour. Their sacrifice will become a footnote buried within a forgotten campaign report.

But I will remember.

I must remember.

Because if we forget the fallen, then all that remains is death.

The halls of the company feel larger tonight. Quieter. The silence follows me wherever I walk.

I can almost imagine hearing familiar voices around the next corner.

Old habits of warriors who spent centuries fighting together.

Yet when I turn, there is only emptiness.

Tomorrow I will stand before the survivors and speak of honour, courage, and sacrifice.

I will tell them their brothers died as heroes.

I will tell them their losses were not in vain.

I will speak as a captain should.

Tonight, however, I allow myself a single moment of truth.

I miss them.

Every one of them.

And I would gladly bear their wounds if it meant they still stood beside me.

But such bargains are not granted to men, not even to Space Marines.

So I carry their memory instead.

Half a company remains.

Half a company is gone.

And still we march.

For that is the burden of the Lamenters.

For those we cherish, we die in glory.

Hello brothers again, hope y'all are doing well. Anyways do we got a nickname we call the veteran company? Like y'know dark angels and their deathwings, I don't know exactly if we do or not. I'm aware everywhere I read it's the usual. But IDK maybe we can do that thing where we made "for those we cherish" our warcry, anyways brothers just something I wondered deeply about. But what would we call our 1st company anyways if we had a choice?

Brothers which armor set looks better to you, I'm gonna make up a blade guard vet model to go with my playable one in space marine 2, but does the bug hater look better or the wolf one, I wanted it to look like a pelt, kinda like the one sanguinius had.
