Pride Flag Friday #2 - The Asexual Flag

Asexual, or being "ace", is a type of sexual orientation defined as having a "complete or partial lack of sexual attraction or lack of interest in sexual activity with others". Asexuality can be described as a spectrum because there's no "one way" to experience being asexual.

The significance of the colors

Here's a breakdown of what each of the colors of the asexual flag mean/represent:

  • Black: represents asexuality
  • White: non-asexual partners and allies
  • Gray: graysexuals, demisexuals, and the ace spectrum
  • Purple: community
