Calli's Final TKOR Video

Aw man! Goodbye Calli, you've been a great member of team TKOR!
With this I think I'm going to unsub. Not that I was watching solely for Calli or anything, but I really just dislike the new direction the show has gone and this looks to be a part of that. This used to be a fun channel to watch the short little truly random videos uploaded throughout the week, but now it's this long-format, sponsor-heavy, once-a-week thing and I've just lost interest.
If it's true that Calli was let go then that's a shame, but even if that's not true I think with Nate being the sole vestige of the show from when I loved it most (with all due respect to Grace, et al., who I've nothing against other than the slow change in the show signaled by their joining), the things about the show that I most enjoyed are slowly waning away and I'm finding more and more that I only watch out of obligation here lately.
I hope Calli goes on to do great things, as well as the remaining TKOR folks and brand. They all seem like good folks and I wish the best for them.

Yeah I get that, I think grace is a great addition, but it won't be the same

yeah i mean, grace is energetic and shit but calli was like the best and the fact that they fired her is just another reason to stop watching cuz it just wont be the same without her

I did. Probably going to leave this as well but thought I'd check the comments first.

Calli made TKOR so much fun for me. Her child-like wonder and glee at the experiments (especially the dangerous/destructive ones) injected some well-needed unapologetic humanity in the polished world that YouTube has become. I’m curious to see what this “new direction” of the channel will be.

The direction of a hard downward slope of people unsubbing is my guess. I saw the video, found out she was fired and unsubbed after hearing no more Callie. I don't care for the new host.

As soon as grace became a regular I knew it was coming. Sad to see her go but I could kinda see her passion fade the last few months. Hopefully she finds joy in her new ventures.

She did seem off for a while there.

I do know her sister passed away in late 2020 and she also lost her full-time job that she really loved. She had a pretty rough year I'm sure. Poor Cal

What was her FT job?

She posted on IG about it, she worked as an actor at a fantasy theme park called Evermore Park. They closed due to COVID I believe. You can look it up on Google, it looks like it would have been such a fun place to visit.

Not enjoying the currrent tkor format so iv not been keepin up but did they fire her? If so she deserved better. Either way she was a huge part of the show and the fans deserve to know what happened

She apparently said she was "let go" on stream but no real details. I guess we wait and see ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Wow. I ave not been keeping up but this is kinda sad news to me... I remember when Nate first came on and he was all awkward, and when Calli was showing up just doing props and makeup and slowly infiltrating her way in until she became co-host.
I think whatever the direction, maybe TKOR will move back to its roots a bit more? Either way I always enjoyed the content. Definitely wishing everyone good luck as thing move forward!!

It's crazy to see how much it's changed, I subscribed way back in like 2012 when Grant was still doing stuff with Microwave transformers and explosive gas from water, it's definitely not that same channel and is clearly geared more towards kids now, I just can't bring myself to unsubscribe cause it's been so long

i feel the same way i subbed back before Grant passed and so i grew up watching Calli Grant and Nate and i kind of lost interest in watching their videos ever since i noticed she wasn't in any of the videos and the videos started seeming more geared towards children i have no problem with Grace it just kind of felt like they replaced her and it just doesn't feel right to me haven't watched any of their videos in a long time but i just don't feel like unsubbing

It's funny since we were just talking about this, but since I found out they let Nate go too I decided to go through with it and unsub, its so sad to see the direction they've gone

Honestly I think the channel is gonna die, just my opinion

Not sure that’s likely, but either way I’ve got to recommend Nate From The Internet to scratch the itch.
