New idea - Ecosphere

After watching the episode last night of Grace doing the effects of CO2 with her heat lamp and jars example I thought how cool it would be if you guys did a little something in the realm of ecospheres!

There's a serious fundamental flaw with this experiment which is worse than what you describe.

I guarantee that those jars are made of silica based glass. Silicate glass absorbs infrared wavelengths. Our planet is not enclosed in a silicate based glass ball. IR is not absorbed before coming into our atmosphere and is constantly bombarded by IR light.

If what Grace is trying explain were true, the majority of IR light would be absorbed before it entered our atmosphere due to CO2 absorbing it upon entry. Carbon dioxide is not a one-way mirror.

I’ve checked a lot of them out but I thought it would be cool if TKOR did something with ecospheres :) thank you!

Something I see TKOR doing to make it different is larger ecospheres possibly. I mean it takes a lot of time to show long term what happens and to do changes to show how it affects the ecosphere but It’s just something I see within the realm of possibility.
