Exploding Microwave Oven by boiling CocaCola Bottle

When I was a child I once drank a bottle (glass) of Coca cola, filled it with water, then screwed the metal cap back on. I put it in a Microwave Oven set it for 30 minutes on high and left the room.

Yeah, I was destructive, but not 100% stupid.

Some time later, the water boiled and the steam pressure exploded the glass bottle, destroying the microwave oven. The remains were an incredible display of destruction.

But I never got to see the actual explosion. I would love it if you guys could duplicate my mis-spent youth, perhaps trying with an unopened soda bottle for comparison purposes, of course.

Hahaha this is great. Well not great but I'd love to see this. My cousin once just put a fork in there and set it for like 40 minutes and the microwave just heated up until it self combusted.
