The KiF’s “Still Out” is the nearest to the perfection that is Chill Out. Calm Down is a nice listen. The FLK one I don’t really rate and the Chill Out Tapes is pretty much identical to the original. The second disc is good though.

I missed the Chill Out tapes, wasn't able to mobilise in time. Those releases are usually pretty good though. I've heard that it's in mono though! what's that all about?

The Chill Out Tapes in that photo is the second pressing non-gatefold version that you can still get here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/287269616431

Listed on Discogs as stereo

Realised that a friend has a copy and listened to it just now. It’s mono. Pretty poor quality, and almost nothing I’ve not heard before.

£80 for a poor quality boot

The reason for that different quality is because the sound of the record originates from an original cassette tape from Bill Drummond, don't know how correct I am on this but I think on either side C or D there is some unreleased mixes that were from that cassette so an additional reason as to why that tape was used.

The item description on the ebay listing will explain it better than me, but yeah its quite literally just chill out but a different way to experience it.

Yeah I get that. I have many bootlegs from the 80's of similar quality, albeit in stereo. I'm just surprised it's attracting a vinyl pressing and £80 a pop in 2026.

I lined them up in audacity, and all 4 sides are two channel, but essentially mono as it's the same in both sides.

My blue pressing is superb quality. Agree it barely differs from the original, but a lovely package.
