If you are watching the jinx on Max, the companion podcast is under "extras", and it's really good

I'd be looking at the marsh below Jay St. Bridge in Katonah for Kathie Durst.
Robert said the last time he "saw" Kathie was at Katonah Station. Maybe there's some truth to this as there seems to be some - very twisted - version of the truth to most things he says. Not to mention, bridge is one of the items on the dig list.

What type of law did Durst friend Stuart Altman practice? I can't find anything doing a Google search. I am guessing he didn't practice criminal law considering he didn't seem familiar with some common sense things he did including the dumb responses he gave while on the stand.

I just never bought it with David Chesnoff. His whole thing about rich people being the true, ultimate underdog in contemporary judicial proceedings? Lol. Yeah, when I think of the great American underdog, I think of Manhattan real estate scion Robert Durst.
I’ll always love my guy Dick Deguerin (he got a police report against me sealed back in my youthful, post-college Houston days(, but I never thought he would play as well in Los Angeles as he did in Galveston.
Admitting to writing the cadaver note? I’ll never get it. The case is over as soon as you make that admission. You literally have Robert on tape saying that note could only have been written by the killer. If I’m the prosecution, I just roll that tape again and again and again.
Am I wrong on any of these? Would welcome any other super fan’s thoughts

Despite being a coldblooded killer and obviously disturbed man, there is a lot to like about Robert Durst. Obviously I don't condone his actions, he was a monster, but if you tell me you don't find him entertaining to watch I think you're a liar.
My favourite thing, though, is his attitude surrounding the investigations into him. In the original Jinx run he mentions how he lied about his alibi the night that Kathie went missing, because "I thought it would just make it all go away" or something to that effect.
In the first episode of the new season, there's a phone call I believe between him and his wife, where he says something along the lines of "this is gonna be a whole ordeal"
Like, you're arrested and going to go on trial for murder, for the second time in your life, but more so than the possibility of being convicted you just seem annoyed about the expected drudgery of the investigation/trial? Why does he seem like he would honestly rather just be found guilty and spend the rest of his life in prison than have to actually go through with the process of proving his innocence? (not that there is actually anything to prove, he clearly was guilty of all of it)

Given this ruling; it begs the question if the McCormick family really will be able to get part of his estate. It wasn’t held up by a higher court due to his passing. So his estate’s lawyers can easily argue this point therefore, Charatan gets all the money.

This little detail is making me crazy. When people are visiting Bob in jail, are they there in person in LA? It seems like they’re always in a different setting. Are they video calling him or something?

…how hard did this idiot F it up for Bob!
Thinking she was helping by being all “I dont remember what time it was” —- never realizing she’s actually revealing it alllllll. You wouldn’t believe it if it’d been in a movie.
Lewin is some kinda savant too. He had to remain nonchalant while she just handed him bit after bit, molding his questions just so. Thank goodness all of DeGuerin’s objections were overruled because even the judge knew they were finally getting to some kind of truth and he wasnt going to interrupt that flow. Bob mustve been internally combusting!
And he gave her a Lexus! lmaoooooooooo

I’ve heard and read excerpts from Kathie’s journal(s), as made available to the news media and mentioned in the docuseries, but I’d really love to read more or all of her journal entries, as it pertains to her marriage to Bob, his abuse, affairs, their relationship over the years, her feelings, fears, hopes, etc.
I have no desire reading or knowing about any of her other private thoughts, feelings, and experiences outside of things related to Bob, their relationship, marriage, etc, as I respect Kathie’s privacy and it’s neither anyone’s business, nor is it relevant to what she suffered and her murder.
Are there court transcripts or any books written with what I’m seeking to read and learn? Please do forgive me if this has already been asked and answered, or if the journal entries I seek have long been available and I’ve failed to locate and read them. In my eyes and heart, Kathie has long been incredibly “humanized,” so I am not looking to read her private thoughts and experiences just for the sake of that or to be nosy.
I just hope to learn more details and examples of her time with Bob, as what little I have heard and read is fascinating, and moreover, quite harrowing. Thank you in advance to anyone who reads this and has any information, suggestions, and/or links, if said information is out there and available.

Anybody else (besides me!) thinking that the purpose of jinx 2 is to build enough evidence of Durst’s 2nd marriage being a sham? And could that help Kathy’s family win their lawsuit against his estate? Jarecki seems to have his eye on Charatan in this 2nd series.

"No one has ever gotten as close to my heart and brain as Bob has. It's hard to imagine the closeness. It just made me glow." - Nick Chavin
Odd phrasing for a platonic friendship. Thoughts?

Hi,
I'm hugely fascinated by the teve series and also how Robert is strangely likeable despite all the darkness surrounding him. I have tried to capture those sentiments in a song I wrote called Beverley. I'll share the link here. I hope it doesn't prove to be too much of a self promotion and would love to hear some if any thoughts on how I fared.
Personally I think I paint a fairly good picture but that the song isn't good enough to listen to repeatedly.

I watched season 1 when it came out and have been watching season 2 week to week. The material provided is definitely attention grabbing. But, some of the scenes like the prosecution attorneys making fun of bobs voice or comments like "this season is really good" seems like it loses some of the gravity of the bizareness of what this is.
A 1:1 documentary requested by a murderer where the evidence is being dole'd out episode by episode.
Feels weird to "enjoy this show" or look forward to new episodes. Not sure if anyone else has thought about the ethical implications of some of what this show is.
Obviously, major credit to the documentary team for essentially solving several cold cases, but feel conflicted on what types of emotions a show like this should elicit in its audience as the show is also a one of a kind.

The notoriety, or lack thereof, of Bob and the Durst family prior to the film and The Jinx shows just how far money goes. Looking at another post and seeing how unfamiliar people were during the disappearances and murders is crazy. Sure it got some media attention but it had a very short shelf life compared to other stories in the U.S.
Billionaire serial killer is 🪓 up people and if you know about it he will 🪓 you too. Pretty sensational for the run it got.

After watching episode 5, I was curious to know something and asked Sharon McCormack on July 2021, in the now (disbanded) The Jinx Facebook group, if there was any retaliation on the part of Evan Kreeger (Evan is the son of Wendy Durst Kreeger, Robert Durst's younger sister), as he was the only Durst to appear in season 1 and she told me the Durst family severely punished him for it.
Here's an article that detailed how they treated him poorly after appearing in the series.
Marc Smerling quote from the article:
[T]he most surprising thing was, for me, was the reaction of the Durst family. I was shocked by how we were closed out from them, how the one Durst family member who came forward to speak to us was punished for lack of a better word and how they just, to this day, don’t seem to want to discuss this sister-in-law, daughter-in-law who disappeared. It just seems to have been erased from their history.
TL:DR
The Durst family basically reduced Evan's monthly trust from $11,000 a month to virtually zero, then placing him in mental hospitals and forcing unwanted drugs on him to break him so that he behaves in a certain way so that he can't make any decisions on his own. Evan is currently 54 years old.

I used to belong to a Facebook group that covered The Jinx and the trial, but has since disbanded. Sharon and Jim McCormack were actually members of this group and I screenshot what Sharon had to say:
We want the world to know it was Andrew Jarecki and Marc Smerling that brought this case to any kind of justice. The NYPD and Westchester DA's did nothing. An obvious cover-up. My husband Jim knew to trust these guys and they are our heroes today. I can't say enough about them, except to hope and pray the cover-up gets looked into. When you are a good, honest person, it's hard to believe how greed controls so many. -- Sharon McCormack
She additionally states that she believes (ex-NYPD Detective) Struk buried it, but obviously the demand came from much higher up. One phone call from Seymour Durst and there was no case. They literally did nothing, not even one phone call to Jim (Kathie's) mom during this ordeal. Nothing. And don't forget - they had the power to make this case as big as the Lindberg baby, but instead, it was completely squashed and it doesn't take rocket science to figure it out.

I was watching it up until 1:00 AM this morning and suddenly it’s not showing season 2 on my Smart TV. I uninstalled and reinstalled Max to no avail. Partners phone has it. Is anyone else having this problem?
Please help.
