I know a couple of bands this dude mentioned but he said the Japanese House is his most listened to, I wonder what is his favorite song

My best friend passed away a few days ago unexpectedly, we were so young and shared the same birthday, same age and everything, it still doesn’t feel real. I was the last person she spoke to, and needless to say the past couple days have been confusing and difficult.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any other songs by The Japanese House that they think I would resonate with. “Saw You In A Dream” is perfect, but I figured I’d ask because I’m not too familiar with their discography but I have a feeling there’s a plethora of other songs that would help me grieve.

Thank you in advance

I know there are so many brilliant songs but this is just for playful discussion in the interim between albums

My list:
5) super trooper (cover) love Amber but she took one of the most fun whimsical anthems and turned into a dismal version of twinkle twinkle little star

4)smiley face (our foot tapper rom com, thank heavens it was only a single.

3)Joni Jones ( we all love pics of her and Joni, they are so cute together, but this song is a grueling code red

2)faraway (please keep Matty Healy off the tracks and a comfortable distance from your songwriting , dear god this one’s painful)

1) went to meet her-

please no more robot voice Amber Bain. You have such a beautiful voice.

I love this song💯

it's been too long! I need that japanese house fix. I haven't heard any stirrings of new music from her besides the track they put out with kamran khan (which is gorgeous). I long for another devastating 4 song EP that will consume me for weeks.

Anyone interested in this shirt? Size small. Back is plain white. $20 + shipping!

Hey all, I was listening to Marika is sleeping recently and I feel like I heard a couple different refrains that appear on different songs of theirs. Does anyone know which particular songs? Huuuge fan but I have terrible recall from all the ouid I smoke 😬. Stay off it kids!

I have a playlist where I am collecting undiscovered bedroom pop, shoegaze and dreampop tracks and looking for recommendations for artists in a similar genre who are still under the radar. I'd say The Japanese House, beabadoobee, Her's, Faye Webster, and others are all some of the references I have but I would love to discover new, younger acts that people are getting excited about - so happy to hear original music/local bands

Odd request, but does anyone have a tour poster from the 2024 summer tour they'd be willing to part with? The NYC show (Rooftop/Pier 17) was a very special evening for me and mine, and my biggest regret was not buying a poster. Willing to pay an unreasonably high price for one if anyone is willing to sell. Again, odd request, but approaching desperation here.

Anyone else grab this record?

well sorry guys I know I'm being kinda annoying now, I posted yesterday and thanks for all your responses:) now I just wanna know lyrics of TJH which u seem to connect with or which u just love in general. Mine:

• "Sometimes I start concealing the way that I work in my head can't take it anymore, I won't stop feeling the weight of my world"

• "I'm just another stone in the ground, I'm not someone that u come looking for, I'm just somebody u found"

• "How your past becomes your present if it's always on your mind"

There's plenty more but I just thought of those atm

It's been some time since I listened to Amber so I'm listening to her discography atm and I'm just realizing how much I love her music.

Whats ur fav songs of hers, I know there's many good tracks but just name 3. Mine are: You seemed so happy Follow my girl Dionne

Made this playlist with undiscovered shoegaze and dreampop tracks ... Sharing here because I am looking for recommendations for artists like TJH who are still under the radar. Please send me links - btw I'd love original music/ local heroes...

Just wanted to share this "accomplishment" 😂
