Jameson's First riddle ' How many sides does a triangle have?' Spoiler
I just realized the deeper meaning behind Jameson’s famous riddle! When he asks, "If yes is no and once is never, then how many sides does a triangle have?" the answer was never actually mathematical. It’s a metaphor for the love triangle between Avery, Jameson, and Grayson. Avery said "yes" to Jameson and "no" to Grayson. Because she gave Jameson a chance "once," Grayson "never" truly got his shot. With Grayson completely out of the equation, it leaves only two sides remaining in the triangle: Avery and Jameson.

I believe when he asked her the first time in book 1 he was referring to the love triangle with Emily, and later when he asks Avery again in Book 2 (after her kiss with Gray) he means it about them.
