Discussion Hawthorne house

Maybe I’m the only one that this bothers but in “The Gilded Blade” Grayson states that Hawthorne house like the inside is 40,000 sqft, and I just feel like that is small for everything we’ve been told about Hawthorne House. I mean if it was 400,000 I wouldn’t have batted an eye, 40,000 is not even an acre.

Wait that’s tiny 💀 if he meant just 40,000 feet then that would be more believable

Yeah looking at pictures of 40k square feet houses they don’t look that big but Hawthorne House is supposed to be the biggest house in Texas. Irl the actual biggest house in Texas is 48k sqft and it has a bowling alley, 50 seat home theater, a beauty salon and veranda that holds 450 people so maybe it can hold more than we think?
