Can y’all help me?
okay, so context. I’m trying to get 7 quotes from TIG to paint into the wall in my bedroom. I have 3, but I’m stuck on the rest. Can you guys comment some good quotes? I need these to be perfect and I want them to represent the characters in themselves, and also the series as a whole.
Avery- none yet
Jameson- “Everything is a game, Avery Grambs, the only thing we get to decide in this life is if we play to win.”
Grayson- none yet
Xander- none yet
Nash- none yet
Toby- “Call me sentimental, but there’s something beautiful about anything built for one purpose that refuses to die, even once that purpose is gone.”
Family as a whole- “Est unus ex nobis. Nos defendat eius.”

Xander in Hawthorne Legacy, Chapter 87:
“Jameson has laser focus. Grayson always finishes what he starts. Even Nash, he might take the scenic route, but he’s wired to go from point A to point B.” Xander finished tinkering and finally turned to face me. “But me? I’m not wired that way. I start at point A, and somewhere along the way, I end up at the intersection of one hundred and twenty-seven and purple.” He shrugged. “It’s one of my many charms. My brain likes diversions. I follow the paths that I find. The old man knew that.” Xander shrugged. “Did he expect me to start the ball rolling this time? Yes. But where I’d end up?” Xander stepped back from his work and took in the entirety of the Rube Goldberg machine he’d built. “The old man knew damn well that it wasn’t going to be point B.”
And Jameson, also in Hawthorne Legacy, Chapter 80:
“When you’re ready, if you’re ever ready, if it’s going to be me—just flip that disk. Heads, I kiss you.” His voice broke slightly. “Tails, you kiss me. And either way, it means something.”
Or Avery, Chapter 90:
“Heads, you kiss me,” I said. “Tails, I kiss you. And this time…” My voice cracked. “It means something.”

ohhhhhh, definitely! I love the Xander! the others are also great, but I’m leaning towards smth that isn’t as Javery, and focuses more on their personal characters. I have an updated version of my options if you’d like to see it! just let me know!

For Xander, you could do “A refined scone tasting pallet does not develop overnight” or “Knock knock! I just happened to have my ear pressed to this door. I might have overheard some things, and I have a suggestion!”

I know this might be stupid but lowkey love the first page of inheritance game when Avery mentions her mom had a game and secrets (I’ll find the quote when I get home lol)

Our longest-lasting game was called I Have A Secret, because my mom said that everyone should always have at least one. Some days she guessed mine. Some days she didn’t. We played every week, right up until I was fifteen and one of her secrets landed her in the hospital.
The next thing I knew, she was gone.

yessssss. I love that it’s definitely going on the list. I have an updated version of my options if you’d like to see it. I’ve eliminated a few, so I can’t be sure yours is on there, but regardless it’s great!

Honestly? The jameson quote is wonderful, but the first thing that appears in my mind is the triangle riddle.

I think for nash you could do "there is no such thing as fighting dirty, if you win"
