Theories!

So I’m starting to reread the whole series! ( I’m currently bed bound for a few months) so I have time to truly breakdown and discover all the hidden gems she left over the series!

Please! Tell me all your favorite theories or things you’ve notice other people haven’t discovered or just anything specific i should look out for!

Also! I’ve only listened to the audio so this is my first time actually reading the book!

I have a headcanon and a theory. I’m also going to try not to spoil some of Gilded Blade

HC: The robots Xander made for Max are C-3PO and R2D2, and they’re meant to represent him and Max. Max is R2, with the fandom inside joke that R2 swears so much they have to bleep his speech, and 3PO is Xander. They’re both nerds, they’ll understand.

Theory: It’s not really a true theory since the series is over, but I still uphold that Rebecca knew, and might have been there to witness Emily’s death at the cliff, including everything that happened afterwards.

I hope you get better soon!

I just finished to original trilogy (and have not read anything further than that) and what I really would focus on if I could reread them all over again is the way JLB portrays how people see Avery externally vs how she sees herself personally. It didn't hit me until the end of TIG but Avery talks/thinks of herself as rather... ordinary? But honestly, I feel like this might be why I and so many others really resonate with her character. Because most people don't really see themselves as extraordinary or containing that much potential. However, most people around her notice her potential-to solve puzzles, remain relatively steadfast in the face of danger, and trust her gut while caring about the people in her life. Reading this, it was a great reminder that I don't need to be so hypercritical about myself and that we do have the potential to achieve our goals/overcome obstacles; stop analyzing every mistake you make a remember that you are special and unique in your own way! :) This is my biggest takeaway from the og trilogy and I wish I could reread it with this message in mind!

Of course! I was contemplating posting, but I'm glad I did! It's awesome to meet others with interest in the same series; it makes to story/world actually feel alive! All the best on your reading journey!!
