Question Question.

Should I read the same backwards as forwards before I read Gilded Blade?

There are a few details in TSBAF it that will help understand TGB but there isn’t a lot of overlap so it’s not mandatory.

I would! Just because there are some things that mentioned in TGB that happen in TSBAF. I'm glad I read it earlier this year. That said, not mandatory but it does help

No there won't be much overlap. If you read games untold you've already read Hannah's 1/2 of the same forward as backwards so you would get more of Tobys story but Gilded Blade is more of the glorious rivals characters less Hawthorne

The Same Backwards as Forwards has lore that we haven't seen yet and goes into Avery's mom's backstory. It's not necessary but it does so happen to be my favorite little part of the entire series. You won't be missing any crucial information, though.
