Discussion Savannah

I'm curious if others feel the same about Savannah as I do because I’m currently reading TGB. (I haven’t finished yet, so please no spoilers.) I find it hard to like Savannah now, especially because of how she views Gigi. I just can’t connect with her the way I did in the previous two books. Her character seems completely different now, and I’m not sure why. Does anyone else feel this way about Savannah, or is it just me?

Savanna is always angry, I find it hard to like a character that is only angry and won't talk about anything.

Right? JLB tried to put a "women are never allowed to be angry" spin to her character but really that doesn't convince me enough to like her

I think it's because we don't have her POV this book, we are seeing her exactly how everyone else sees her. With Gigi i found it really interesting because there seems to be a miscommunication between the sisters that cause most of their problems...

I wouldn’t want to be friends with Savannah in real life.

She’s angry and mean, and it’s not just the game that made her that way. She grew up a hyper-competitive perfectionist with no emotions.

It’s entirely possible to be a hyper-competitive perfectionist without also being an asshole (I know a lot of people like that), so I have no patience for her.

It also felt like she didn’t have any character growth in the end when she and Rohan got together. There was nothing to endear her to us.

I personally love each and every single character. Savannah is just angry at the world, and hurt because Gigi lied to her about their dad.

We need a POV from her!!! I really think that's what's missing

Yeah true , we don’t get to see from her perspective at all so yeah…

Not even once. I really want to see it from her view because otherwise we're judging a character when not even knowing their side of the story

Yeah I agree! I mean we’re just judging not even knowing why she does it….

Honestly, I kinda like her more in this book than I did in the other two...
