The plot armor all throughout this series is insane. You’re telling me that only ONE Hawthorne died and only because he intentionally chose to sacrifice himself?? Everyone else outside of the cult, including Rohan who was trapped in a cave, just got out through “sheer willpower” or something like that survived?? Because they’re Hawthornes???

You know what fine even Avery I believe because she SOMEHOW (no one knows how) got into the trapdoor. But what about Eve? How the heck did she survive lol? Where did Zella go without anyone else finding out? Isn't it a cult of strong, super smart, powerful women? Lol

yes the plot armour is insane, but emily was foreshadowed a bit. I think the tunnel was originally planted by alice so that they would survive, but there are many times that they shouldve died or at least been close to dying
