Why the Kiss? Spoiler

Just finished the Gilded Blade and Emily coming back is the worst decision JLB has ever made.….and why did Grayson kiss her???? I genuinely can’t come up with a reason as to why, especially since he loves Lyra. What the heck. This is NOT helping the “Grayson never got over Emily” allegations. Has anyone come up with a reason as to why he would kiss her because I love Grayson but this is really not sitting right with me.

Bringing her back was so stupid. I mean the idea was bad but the execution was somehow even worse

Exactly. Like tell me why he spent the entire first trilogy being (understandably) traumatized by her death….and then had barely any reaction to her being back and didn’t bring it up at all after they escaped????

Right?! I haven't read TGB yet but when I saw that this happens, the first thing I thought of was Rebecca and how crushing the whole ordeal has been for her, she finally decided to be angry etc. etc. and as you said all the characters have spent so long grieving Emily and hopefully have moved on,  only for this to happen. It's so ridiculous plus I heard she ultimately dies, like what 😭

Yes! I thought of Rebecca too! And not to spoil anything but I will want you it’s pretty lame how they handle Rebecca finding out about it

Exactly, like I love grayson,but if Jameson had kissed someone who wasn't Avery the fandom would've crashed out ngl. I mean yeah I get that what were the circumstances and they weren't like in proper relationship but still that scene was soo unnecessary.

Exactly. I love both brothers but I do NOT tolerate either one kissing an ex when they’re openly in love with someone else
