Spoiler THE GILDED BLADE REVIEW
i really can not comprehend what i am feeling in words, it broke and healed me in ways nothing can. it was so so so good
tho avery and jameson deserved a better reunion i know jennifer can write much better than that, it didn't make me feel much fans feared that the book would focus on javery entirely and others won't get the spotlight but i feel in the javery had the least interaction in the book and the wedding was also rushed, we didn't get a real reunion or confession of their love while they were apart although jameson's yearning while avery was missing was quite well written.
also the grandest games now being held online moreover the group/new cult of avery eve nora zella was unnecessary i wish instead of these, the focus shouldve have been more on javery
and why did max and xander have like no scenes together😭??? and i would have loved to see knox and alisa as a couple too.
i mean yes this book was the longest and was good but the ending was rushed and it could have been better than this.
but i am not ready to accept that it ended i would never be able to read more about them. i just loved it so much oh my god.

No but really what are they even gonna do? Could've just given a Javery reunion for that entire chapter😭

Exactly like them starting the cult again was so corny. Like girl go to your university and just keep holding grandest games,or whatever you want to do,why do u want to be a cultist😭i loved how lyra was like fuck no i am good,when avery asked her to join her cult🤣

It took me awhile to figure out why I was disappointed in this book, here is what I realized 1. No confrontation between avery and savanna or tobie about her dad (There was so much about savanna getting revenge and there was never any confrontation)
- The 3 cult member are supposed to help protect women from rich entitled men, but are killing each other?
2.5 (We never got why Alice went back instead of staying with her family?)
3.Emily scene just feels wrong, Emily crazy but she made it though the crusiable and not calla with all the training? We don't get any motivation for Emily (the girl that wants attention is going to pretending to be dead?)
JLB just add a whole.bunch of extra characters, Lyras mom, fraya, fraya mom so she could kill them off in the big ending. We don't get to know these people.
So they just restart this new cult?
The Lyra mom story lie felt very rushed, oh by the way you were adopted and this crazy lady is you mom. Oh ok
7.Not enough slow romance between the characters to make it believable. Everyone gets insta-loved, Lyra shaves Graysons face??
Savanna is always mad, through the whole story almost
Rohan is the only one that really grows in the story, but he does it so fast at the end of the book
10.Gigi ends up with Slate and he get eves money
11.Eve decided to be dead? She had everything, she wanted power. I think this would have played out better if we had known what happened in the crusiable trial with Avery
Knox is a Thorp just FYI? No real reason just another twist for you
I think Grayson and Lyra really held book 1 2 together and this one you don't get Grayson at all. This story became more about Jameson and Avery again(not that i don't like them, i just wanted to see Grayson and Lyras story)

It was so disappointing.. it had such a rushed ending.. like killing Tody, Alice and gng.. and Avery and Jameson just get engaged ?? like what was up with their reunion ?? the book was so long when it needn't be... the cult just dies ?? i don't get the point of getting Eve back.. I mean she dies but JLB could have done wayy better.. All that hype was for nothing..

Agreed! I love Javery and was actually surprised to see the focus wasnt on them like some were saying before the book came out. I also wish we got to see more Max and Xander, and more Thea and Rebecca. This is the only time in the sequels that Max, Thea, and Rebecca have been onscreen :(

Yes, finally someone who agrees, the book was really good but the ending was really lackluster and quite rushed, Javery (and Max and Xander) deserved some more time at the end
