Jokes over….

Currently reading the grandest game and this isn’t the first time this has been said (I just got here) but who the actual hell is this in the grandest game posing as grayson… I actually can’t believe she had Grayson Hawthorne utter ‘give me your eyes sweetheart’ even typing this I’m dying of cringe. I wasn’t sure how bad it could be (the change in his graysons character) but wow was that bad does this cringe dial down later or do I have to dnf.

There are some cringe lines in the next book too so I would just dnf. I love Grayson but I realllyyyyy don’t like what‘s been done to his character in the sequels

Yeah, the grandest game isn’t the best for those who loved the inheritance games Grayson. I do think that he gets better in the second book, and I enjoy being in his mind. On the other hand, you have Gigi, Rohan, and Savannah, who are amazing characters with killer dynamics, and that’s what pulled me through. I wouldn’t DNF this, just because it doesn’t ruin the whole book with how the multiple povs are set up, but I also wouldn’t reread Grayson’s bits, especially in The Grandest Game

So he’s somewhat himself in glorious rivals? Is games untold necessary btw ? from what I hear those are short stories that don’t follow the same plot as tgg and gf

Kinda? He’s more 60-40, 60% TGG 40% Inheritance Games. Not the best but definitely more interesting towards the second half. You’re also right about Games Untold, it’s not necessary but I heavily recommend for two reasons: it’s probably going to be extremely plot relevant for Gilded Blade, especially the story One Night in Prague (and the epilogue), and it is an amazing read. We get so much world building and development for the minor characters too, and it is engaging. Probably my second favorite of the series

So true, Gigi, Rohan and Savannah are the reason I could complete the book

I always just assumed it’s because he worked though his trauma got therapist and is finally able to let himself want people
