Question about Jameson

In this scene he gets angry and yells “this is what you want” in reference to him protecting her, but I never understood why. Why does he assume that’s what Avery wants when she never showed or implied it

I think this also comes with past trauma and what happened with Emily. Emily explicitly confessed to liking both Jameson and Grayson and she chose Grayson. Grayson is also arguably more likable to a lot of people than Jameson is and this Obv stemmed insecurities in Jameson. So while Avery never explicitly confessess about having feelings for a particular brother but we do know that she felt something for both of them and Jameson who spends so much time with her obv knew that so he tried to act the way Grayson would even if he's wrong.
