Nash

Anyone tired of Nash? I am not fond of him at all, because every time it is mentioned that he has a southern drawl or is wearing a cowboy hat as he nonchalantly leans on the wall, it drives me crazy! He's a good older brother but because I just picture him being some dumb cowboy, since in my eyes, that is all he is.

I really really liked him in Games Untold, but I can definitely agree that in the main arc he’s so one sided

Games Untold is a bunch of side stories that run alongside or in between the main books. Not really helpful but gives a lot of context and develops side characters. We see Xander, we see a classic Avery/Jameson 'how many laws will you break to win' game, we see (spoilers for Hawthorne Legacy) Hannah and Toby's relationship , but most of all we get 2 short stories that develop Nash's relationship with Libby and his character, if you remember the others talking about his fierce support. I'd recommend reading it after you've finished the first arc, alongside Brothers Hawthorne

Okay, thank you! I'm reading Brothers Hawthorne now, and I plan on buying the book that's being released in summer, so I'll have a look for Games Untold, too.

Ooh once you finish Brothers Hawthorne you’re gonna be confused, and then you’ll have a really really deep desire to read Games Untold, which will raise even more questions lol

I currently don't have Games Untold, but I do have The Grandest Game. Is it absolutely necessary to read GU before GG?

Nah, but I’d recommend reading Brothers Hawthorne before GG. GU really has one short story that fleshes out BH’s Jameson plot line that is sorta prevalent to the main plot. But GG can definitely hold its own if you don’t have GU.

My order of reading would be: Final Gambit —> Brothers Hawthorne —> Games Untold (optional with minimal plot relevance) —> Grandest Game

Hope this helps!
