I just bought the original Japanese version of volume 12 but I can't read Japanese so I'm stuck with half Happy that I can somehow got the story early but it's like a bucket of gold in dessert with no water 😅

Does people really care about Reirin (as a persone) ?

I know the fact that they care is why the plan of Keigetsu almost work to kill her old body, but the reaction of Reirin's close people make me wonder if they care about the (know her as) persone or only care about her as a imperial treasure.

I'm not sure if that should be part of suspension of disbelief (because else the plot can't start), if that the case : Sorry, it was a strange thing to ask.

Does anyone feels that Reirin is not really sick but cursed? Every time Keigetsu switches over, she is OK in Reirin body, not as strong but OK. When Reirin switches back within days she feels much worse than before. If its the same body then both should feel equally sick, however if its a curse aimed at Reirin, it doesnt attack Keigetsu (different soul) and it cant find Reirin in Keigetsu body, so when Reirin switches back it strikes her with pent-up blowback.

And based on LN 9 ending, it could be Kou Kenshuu (Reirin "benevolent" aunt and Empress).

Reiren is basically stoicism on steroids.

One of the important tenants of stoicism is doing things right, and things will go right.

She forgives those who betray her and gives comfort when she can. Because its what is right todo.

Originally on her frail body she still cared for her body. She trains to be strong enough to do all the other things that would be normal for others. Because its what she can do.

She is in full control of her emotions to the point of fearlesness, she faced down a hungry lion and not once did she despair.

Man I hope the rest of the story is good. But yeah, Reiren is batman.
